November update

   The seasons change so fast, before i can blink the leaves have al blown away and I'm finding myself sifting through the leaves once again searching for the left overs of chestnuts that the wild boars might have missed, as they ravaged our village for a sack full...

  The chestnut festival went well, we only stayed a short time as it just rained and ruined the fire and roasting. Today i cleaned up the soggy charred chestnuts and shells to give to our goats, who will of course devour them all...

   I'v emoted lots up in my shop, check it out and pass on the message of my blog to others, help me raise funds.

Elderflower cordial

You know its spring time when... the warm mornings bring light rain, thunder and lightning in the afternoon. I love being up in the high mountains at this time of year, we really do witness a storm brewing above our heads.  You watch the West come in, the East combine and then cracks of thunder pierce the skies, it excites me so much, makes you realise the power of nature.  We watched the storm approaching when we were out picking elderflowers, we have elder tree's all over our village. We brought our handmade basket i made from grape vines, i snipped the flower while my little daughter collected them up.  Boiling water to make our cordial while we watched the lightning fork the sky. Recipe for Elderflower Cordial    25 heads of elder flowers    Zest of 3 oranges and lemons and their juices    1 kg of sugar Directions:-  Boil 1.5 litres of water and sit the flowers in a bowl covered overnight to infuse.                      The next day, strain

 The stone piece decides the paintings... This is one of many Owls i have had the pleasure of painting... It stands roughly 2 feet tall, and 2 feet in the longest part of length..   It is for sale, although most of my art hasn't got time to stick around and collect dust before it gets sold. This Peacock has been painted on 1.5 feet by 2 feet slate stone... This peacock has already been sold, a day after it was created.. All my paintings on stone have been applied using Gouache watercolour paints. I hope you enjoy the many more I have waiting within my paint brushes.. Watch this space to see what will be next..
