Good day to one and all...

It has been a while since my last post on accommodation in our area, just a small reminder of the wonderful places to visit and stay when you come to the hidden mountains of Serra do Açor.

I am a mother, musician, teacher, artist, chef, designer, hairdresser, beauty therapist and much more, the list goes on.

My blog primarily is for showing my art and crafts with the hope of sharing my visions with the world.

I have come here to live with my family a life of learning, change and opportunity for my children.

This country and its people have shown us great kindness, hospitality and a sense of family.

We moved to the middle of nowhere, tucked away in a beautiful paradise, we live within an old village with elderly people, whom still farm and live in traditional ways.

We have faced lots of hard work on our farm, raising animals, growing food, maintaining land and forest.

We have fought one of Portugals' biggest fires in history to date with only our hands, garden hoses and our community of 6 elderly people, and awarded certificates of hero's. But mostly the reward of still having our family home where my daughter was born.

It will pain me oneday if i ever had to leave here.

As time goes on here in our village we sadly have to say goodbye to the ones who go back to the earth, as the circle of life plays its role, we try to bring new hope, love, family, and life to this village, to honour those whom work hard when they lived here.

My son is so inspired by these people he learnt the language, translated and has been working on a documentary to outline and show how these people lived, worked together and loved this land.

There is fertile land here, space to grow and change the way people live closer to nature, help to save our environment, sacrifice material life for a chance to make a better future for our children.

I hope you will enjoy this page, thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me in sharing my story, my world and my passion...
